Time is short for fish, whales, dolphins and turtles that are threatened by overfishing, pollution, and habitat loss. Your Agency has the critical role to play in stopping powerful fishing interests from emptying our seas of life. I urge you to enact strong regulations to prevent overfishing, to leave enough fish in the sea to keep our oceans in balance, and to hold industry and managers accountable when overfishing happens. In addition, preserve strong environmental reviews of fishery management decisions so that the public has complete information about the impacts of these actions and a chance to comment on them.
